About me
I’ve always been drawn to stories that feel real — stories about ordinary people, difficult choices, adventure, and the places that shape who we become. But reading and writing weren’t always a big part of my life. I’m dyslexic, and for a long time, books and writing felt more frustrating than enjoyable.
That started to change when I took a creative writing class in college. For the first time, I began to see writing less as something I struggled with and more as a way to tell the kinds of stories I had always been interested in. It gave me the confidence to start putting my own ideas on the page.
A lot of my inspiration comes from the places I’ve been. Growing up in New England gave me an appreciation for history, old towns, forests, changing seasons, and the stories hidden in familiar places. Traveling has only expanded that. Trips through Europe and the Swiss Alps, the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, and Alaska have all influenced the landscapes, atmosphere, and sense of adventure I want to bring into my writing.
That love of history, travel, and storytelling eventually led to The Silent Pass. What began as an idea for a quiet Western set in 1870s Montana grew into a story I was proud enough to publish. I’m especially drawn to books that seem simple on the surface but stay with you long after you finish them, and that’s the kind of writing I hope to create myself.
As a writer, I’m still at the beginning of the journey. I want to keep exploring new places, time periods, characters, and ideas while writing stories that feel honest, atmospheric, and memorable.
When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading, traveling, spending time outdoors, taking photos, or finding inspiration for whatever I might write next.
Thanks for stopping by and following along. There’s a lot more to come.
